Educating the whole child

Waldorf education meets students appropriately at each developmental stage, recognizing their physical and emotional needs and capacities, in addition to intellectual ones. With curriculum designed to support children through their gradual transformation, the goal of the Grade School program is to guide all students in developing their highest potential through rigorous academic studies in an arts-infused experience that engages the whole child.

our Neighborhood Campus

Our Grade School is nestled in a friendly residential neighborhood on South Lincoln Street in Keene. In fact, many of our students walk to school! Formerly the Lincoln School building, the historic three-story brick building was constructed in 1900 and has served as a school ever since. Teachers and students enjoy the “extended campus” of Keene, often conducting class activities at Robin Hood Park, Keene Rail Trail and the Keene Public Library, among other nearby locations.
